Questions

What people ask before they send a sample

How do I know you are licensed?

The state license number is in the footer of every page, with a link to the licensing board's lookup. Check it there.

Do I need a lab test before a quote?

Yes. If you have a report from the last year or so, send it. If not, we bring bottles.

How do I collect the sample?

Clean bottles and written steps come from us. Use a cold tap, take it before any treatment, and bring it to us or the lab the same day.

How long does the lab take?

The lab sets that, not us. We tell you the date when the sample goes in.

What does a visit cost?

The pricing page says what drives the number. If there is a visit fee, the proposal says what it is and whether it comes off the work.

Do you charge more at night or on weekends?

Visits are weekdays and Saturday mornings, so there is no night rate and nobody answers at night.

Will I get a price before you start?

Yes, in writing, after the report and the visit and before any work.

Do you pull permits?

When the work needs one, we pull it and the proposal says so.

Do you drill or repair wells and pumps?

No. We treat the water in the house, and send you to people who do wells and pumps when that is the problem.

Do you service systems another firm installed?

Often, yes. We read the last report first and say what we find before anything changes.

Is my house at risk for lead?

A house plumbed before 1986 can have lead solder or fixtures. Ask us to add lead at the tap to your sample.

What does the warranty cover?

Each proposal has a terms line for the parts and labor it covers and for how long. Read it before you sign; we explain it on the visit.

What are your hours and where do you work?

Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings, in Concord and the Merrimack County towns on the service-area page.

Your question is not here?

Call or text the shop; we answer in the morning.
